In the scope of the provision of maintenance, operation and cleaning services for various water elements, which the Environment area of Manvia holds with the Lisbon City Council, for several years, various works were carried out on the Biological Lake in Parque Eduardo VII.
Having as goals the correct operation of the installation, as well as the treatment of ornamental waters, it was carried out the space signalling, the preservation of animal life, pruning and cleaning of the banks of the Biological Lake, bottom discharge, inspection at the bottom of the wooden bridge, sludge removal, deep cleaning and lake filling.
In addition, taking into consideration the concern and responsibility for the animal and plant life existing in the water elements, Manvia took all appropriate and necessary measures to preserve them, both in the regular functioning of the water element as well as in the interventions made.
In this sense, one of the peculiarities of this work, was related to the collection of aquatic animals, so as not to be dragged to the bottom discharge and later to be released without causing casualties.
Thus, another task was successfully completed, demonstrating the effectiveness of Manvia in this long-standing partnership with the Lisbon City Council, once again reinforcing the existing trust between the two entities.
